Your reflections, journal entries, and insights are always with you: whether you’re journaling quickly on your iPhone, writing in-depth reflections on your Mac, or completing guided exercises on your iPad. To make this possible, stoic uses iCloud syncing — Apple’s secure cloud service which allows keeping everything up to date across devices.
Stoic works seamlessly on all Apple devices:
- iPhone – Great for daily check-ins and quick prompts.
- Mac – Ideal for deeper journaling and writing comprehensive journals.
- iPad – Perfect for guided sessions and reflection time.
Your data is always in sync, so you can start writing on one device and pick up where you left off on another.
How iCloud Syncing Works
- Your entries are securely stored in your iCloud account — not on stoic’s servers.
- As long as you’re signed in with the same Apple ID and iCloud is enabled, your data syncs automatically.
- Every journal entry, reflection, or AI analysis is updated across devices within moments.
How to Enable iCloud Syncing
- Make sure you’re signed in with the same Apple ID on all devices.
- Go to Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → iCloud Drive and turn it on.
- Scroll down and ensure Stoic is toggled on.
- In the app, go to Your Profile → Your Data → iCloud Sync and check the iCloud Sync Status.

🔨 If syncing doesn’t work, see our guide in the Troubleshooting section of this Help Center.
Tips for a Quicker iCloud Sync
- Keep a stable internet connection — iCloud sync needs Wi-Fi or mobile data.
- Allow a few minutes for larger data sets to update.
- If updates don’t appear immediately, opening the app on both devices usually triggers a refresh.
