What’s Shared with OpenAI?
When you use AI features such as Mentors or Dig Deeper, Stoic securely sends the current journal entry you’re working on to OpenAI’s servers.
Here’s what happens then:
- Only the specific entry you’re editing is sent — not your entire journal history.
- The data may be temporarily stored by OpenAI for up to 30 days to ensure safety and prevent misuse.
- Stoic does not have access to this data and never stores it on its side.
- This process happens only when you actively use an AI-powered feature.
Control over AI Features Data
- AI features are optional and available only to users with an AI subscription.
- You can disable or remove AI features from the app at any time.
- Your full journal history and all your entries always stay private — either on your device or in your personal iCloud, depending on your settings.
- Stoic will never share anything without your explicit consent.
