When something doesn’t work as expected, don’t worry — most issues can be solved in just a few simple steps. This guide will help you quickly find solutions to the most common problems in Stoic, whether you’re using iPhone, iPad, or Mac.
And if you can’t find the answer here, you’re always welcome to contact us directly via Report a Bug option in the app. We’re here to help you!
When the app is not working as it should, before diving deeper, try the basics first. These simple actions fix the majority of problems and keep your app running smoothly:
- Check for the latest stoic update.
Go to the App Store and make sure you’re using the newest version of the app.
We release updates almost every week — each one packed with improvements, bug fixes, and new content. Updating regularly ensures you always get the best and most stable experience.
- Make sure your iOS system is up to date.
Go to Settings → General → Software Update and check for the latest version of iOS (or iPadOS). System updates often fix background issues that can affect app performance.
- Check your internet connection.
Stoic needs a stable connection for syncing, AI reflections, and smart notifications. If you’re on mobile data, try switching to Wi-Fi, or vice versa.
- Turn off Flight Mode.
Make sure Airplane Mode is off. When it’s on, stoic can’t connect to your account or fetch new data.
- Restart your device and the app.
Close stoic completely, then reopen it. If that doesn’t help, restart your device — this refreshes background services and permissions.
- Back up and reinstall the app (if needed the previous steps didn’t help.)
If nothing else works, reinstalling stoic can often resolve persistent issues.
‼️ Remember: before reinstalling, make sure your data is synced via iCloud or export a backup to avoid losing journal entries!
